I have polycystic ovary syndrome and ive been having intense pain in my left ovary,?

ive had pains before and they have not been this intense, im not pregnant, i just got over a UTI could this have anything to do with it or is it something else? i cant get in to see my gyno until next week should i wait it out or go to the er? our er realy sucks so i dont want to go that route if i dont have to, ive been taking ibuprofin and it really doesnt help, any suggestions?

This intense pain could be an indication of a bigger cyst (an example only but have run in to a similar situation before) or something like endometriosis (another example only).

I would recommend calling your doctor in the a.m. to leave a message with the nurse to have the symptoms documented on your chart in prep for the visit next week (also some issues can be handled by phone instead of coming in depending on what the nurse says too).

some people do well with real licorice tea
but don't go crazy with it it can raise your blood pressure if you drink more than a cup or two a day

It could be that your ovary has released an egg? I have polycystic ovaries, and every time i do release an egg, its horribly painfull, lasts me about a day and a half. Or as mentioned before, it could be a larger cyst, these have a tendancy to get "twisted" sometimes which can cause intense pain.

I dont know if i have PCOS, but i do have MRKH which means i dont get a period but i do ovulate (i was born with out a uterus). I get these awful pains in my left ovarie and i actually just went to my doctor for it a couple days ago. He put me on birth control pills so we can get that out the way and im going to get some test done to see what these pains are. Some times i get in a hot bath or put a heating pad over the spot where i am having pain. Can you message me and give me some information on PCOS, what does it feel like for you?. This birth control isnt helping . I am still getting the pains
