Polycystic Ovary Syndrome? Help? |
Ok well im a female and im 15 years old lately ive seen some unwanted facial hair under nose,And I have never had my period. Ever. Only discharge. I have watched some tv,and I learned about PCOS and I think thats why I don't have my period. i will be going to the doctor soon to see what she can help me with, but i feel really self conscience If anyone can help me get through this or by any way help me out that would be great and thank you so much! Aww sweetie, I know what it's like. I was diagnosed at 19 but had suffered with it since I was 12. Usually girls who have PCOS start their periods very young, that isn't to say you don't have it, everyone is different, but PCOS is diagnosed by ruling out other things, so the thing to do would be to go to the dr. tell him what your worries are and ask him to do a testosterone level, a thyroid hormone level, a glucose level and a trans vaginal ultrasound. These tests will help determine what it is or isn't. |
