Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, How does it affect your life? |
I was just told last week that I have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. I read online all the symptoms, risks, bla bla bla.. I apparently have had it for 5 years and never did anything to help it out. I have it. Have had it for 2 years now. The symptoms suck. You gain weight you can get facial hair, you get really bad acne and dark spots all over your body. You dont get your periods and it makes it hard to have kids. It can lead to high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes. And you can get anxiety attacks and depression my friend has had polycystic ovarys for 5 years now, from when she was diagnosed with this she never had any problems except hair growing on her belly and that she never has a period and when she is on a period shes on for months, till last year while trying for a baby with her bf, doctors told her that it would be harder for her to get pregnant with polycystic ovary's, so now shes going threw ivf treatment. the best thing you can do is carry on with your research and you can talk to people that have the same problem go to */medhelp*/ sign up to this web site and talk to people it really helps. good luck I have it. It has not really affected me. My doctor told me it would take a long time to conceive a child, but we were pregnant within a month of trying. I am not overweight (I am 5'4" 129lbs.) and I have no real symptoms. I do not have the syndrome, yet. I have it and all it really does is excessive hair growth. Yadda Yadda..... not as bad as they say, Never painful |
