Is this polycystic ovary syndrome? |
Well, the signs that I have are: being overweight, being very hairy and having very oily, slightly spotty skin. However, instead of having no or few periods, I have them very often (every 3 weeks or so) and they are very heavy. I was just wondering is this pcos? it could be as you have most of the symptons. my friend periods were still regular but mine are not both of us are heavy when on a period .we both have pcos every one is affected differently by pcos and you don't always have all of the symptons (it is hard to diagnose because of this). i would suggest you go and see a dr and ask for blood tests to check and also ask for a scan. this is the only way you can know for sure. best of luck and try not to worry it might not be pcos but something else What are the symptoms of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)? These are some of the symptoms of PCOS: * infrequent menstrual periods, no menstrual periods, and/or irregular bleeding * infertility or inability to get pregnant because of not ovulating * increased growth of hair on the face, chest, stomach, back, thumbs, or toes * acne, oily skin, or dandruff * pelvic pain * weight gain or obesity, usually carrying extra weight around the waist * type 2 diabetes * high cholesterol * high blood pressure * male-pattern baldness or thinning hair * patches of thickened and dark brown or black skin on the neck, arms, breasts, or thighs * skin tags, or tiny excess flaps of skin in the armpits or neck area * sleep apnea鈥昬xcessive snoring and breathing stops at times while asleep Go see a doctor. i would say not, I have this syndrome yes i have oily skin and i do get unwonted hair on my face and a little over weight but it would effect your periods as well i would think but get it looked at by your doc |
