I think I should be tested for polycystic ovary syndrome?

I learned today about PCOS on the realage website where I read that it is the cause of a significant portion of obesity in women. When I looked into the disease I found I had a lot of the symptoms, such as irregular and heavy periods, weight gain around my middle, acne and dandruff, and constant pelvic pain. I think this is something I should get checked out, but many sites recommend seeing a specialist and my insurance will not cover that. What should I do? Does anyone know a site where I can find a specialist in my area (Denver)?

Your regular doctor can help you out, although you really should see an endocrinologist. Will your insurance cover a specialist if you were referred by your regular doctor?
