Has anyone ever been diagnosed with polycystic Ovary Syndrome? If so, did you =have infertility prolems? i have PCOS. i had a daughter when i was younger. i had lost 50 pounds and got pregnant. now i have gained all of that back plus and additional 50. i have been trying to have another one but it just isnt working and i have been trying for 3 years. i have never tried fertility treatments due to the cost. i plan on losing weight again. everything that i have read about it explains how weight loss is the best thing for you. PCOS can be very dangerous if it is left untreated. it is not fetal but all of the symptoms that you have when you have PCOS are. like obesity, insulin resistance, high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol. there is also a chance of uterine cancer if you do not get your period often enough. PCOS is like a bullet that is fired but does not hit you for 30 years. i suggest doing research (if ou havent) and then treating it the way that best fits you. i dont know if you are overweight but if you are even losing 20 pounds will greatly help you chances of getting pregnant! good luck to you and i wish the best for you! my sister was diagnosed with PCOS and they told her it would be hard for her to get pregnate but she is pregnate so i guess it just depends Sorry thats all i know My sister! Obviously I haven't b/c I'm a man. BUT my ex has it and we have a son together. It takes some intervention from a good OBGYN (sometimes) and it can cause miscarriage (doesn't mean it will) We went to the website www.fertilityfriend.com and found SOOOO much information on that site. I honestly suggest you join ( i think there is a free membership and a paid on too.) There are TONS of resources one there. Good luck hun! PCOS certainly can lead to infertility, but doesn't in every case. Talk to your doctor and just keep trying! Wish you good luck! Women's reproductive health class |
