QUEStION FOR THOSE WHO HAVE HAD OPERATION 4 POLYCYSTIC OVARY SYNDROME!? |
those of u who ahve had the operation for PCOS, can u answer some of these questions, please 1) How long do u have to stay in hospital 2) where do i go to say i want the op 3) Are there any long lasting pains, e.g. in winter, does the op hurt? 4) Do they (docs) give medication to get betta) 5) how long do u have to wait in hospital b4 u can get out after the op? 6) How effective is it? out of ten please and thats all the questions i can think of at the monent, anymore, and i will put them in the additional info, thanks anyway I came very close to having surgery to help my ovaries due to the PCOS but the dr I consulted about that recommended that I not have the surgery as it would only cause more scar tissue. What kind of surgery are you having for your PCOS? If it's a hysterectomy it won't cure the PCOS as it is an endocrine disorder that needs to be managed with medication or diet for some women. Also, the cysts (when they appear) due to PCOS if they are removed can actually do more damage to the ovary because when they appear they look a lot like a string of pearls. Not everyone who has PCOS has the classic cysts. To learn more about PCOS pls check out: http://www.pcosupport.org Sorry that I can't be of more help but if you could give a bit more info then I might be able to help you out here. Sorry for the confusion. Source(s): Been dealing with PCOS for 10 years. |
