Are there any women here with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome?


I have POC, I was wondering how other Women cope. I was able to concieve once, I have a 2 year old. What are the chances of concieving again? I have been to my Dr. and have his advice but Im looking for woman to woman advice. Any reply will be appreciated. Which Medications haveworked for you and not worked so well?

Some studies show that using Metformin while pregnant decreases symptoms associated with complications of PCOS.

They also have a list of women who have achieved pregancy with PCOS at http://lists.pcolist.org/mailman/listinf... I recommend this because you can chat with other women who have conceived and are trying for a second child. Plus, it is good support!

I personally have not gotten pregnant with PCOS, but my sister did. She had two children with out using fertility drugs, and then had her tubes tied because she didn't want more than two children. (Note added: she did have gestational diabetes, and now has type II diabetes, but this is also genetics and not solely to the PCOS.)

I dont know what that is but keep your head up and have faith. No doctor can really tell you that you cant have a child. If God wants you to bear a child, then it will happen. Miracles have happened and proved many doctors wrong.
I have polycystic ovaries. I have 3 children but I have been lucky.All Of my children are 6 years apart,I never took any medication to help with fertility,there is a web site,mymonthlycycle.com I kept track of my periods for a while and started using it to help determine when I should ovulate.Keep in mind I never used any form of birth control in my entire Life,so don't give up,just keep trying not every day though I always had sex every other day when trying to conceive.
