What is the best method of contraceptive to help combat the effects of polycystic ovary syndrome??

i need help with this one from ladies who have the condtion and have tried and tested different things thanks

i too have pcos, but i don't have to worry about contraceptives as i do not ovulate, the main problem with pcos is the lack of periods. most doctors will use the pill to regulate the cycle, unless you actually want a baby then the process is different, there isn't anything you can do to stop the effects as it is incurable, any form of contraceptive can be used its down to your own preference.
I was only diagnosed with this about a month ago....have just started combined pill - Microgynion.....but best to ask your doctor as I was only put on this as my main concern (at the moment - im 25 and single), was to regulate my cycle!!! For the last 4 years I went 6months, then 5 months then 4 months without a period!!
thats a good question, but i dont think you should look for the answer on yahoo, ask yourself that question good luck!
My daughter has that and I beleive she is on a bcp called Yasmin.
