Please help me i need some advice a how to get pregant wit polycystic ovary syndrome? |
we have been trying for over 2 years and we have not even had a chance of being pg. we really want to start our family while we are youg please give me some advice?????!!!!!!!!!!! I take it you aren't having regular cycles....they are very long or absent all together?? Have you seen a doctor about trying to conceive with this condition?? There are options, but I would encourage you FIRST to have a "pre-conception appt" with you OBGYN about your specific situation. You always start by charting your basal body temps (free at fertilityfriend.com and they have tutorials, as well). That will show when/if you are ovulating. I would print the charts off and take them to your OB with you. Some women try non-medicated things to try and ovulate such as Vitex. It works for some...not for others. It didn't work for me....I had to do Clomid (stimulates the ovaries to help with ovualtion). Clomid...the first month...worked like MAGIC!! But, not everyone does it with the first month and have to move up on dosage...and with others...it doesn't work at all. It all depends upon the person. Metformin has been known to help, as well. I wasn't given this med since I didn't/don't have the insulin issue with PCOS. Metformin, from what I've heard, helps with that insulin/weight and naturally, that would help ovulation. I would think that would be the start of trying things...and of course, there are options to go further on to try if the above doesn't work. But again...please consult your OBGYN...they will know more about you, personally, than any of us here! :) OH my! I also have PCOS. I was told that I would NEVEr have kids, but I have two. This is what you do. It worked for me, and several other people I know. Go to walmart, or gnc, or any health food store. Purchase a natural progesterone cream. It comes in a little jar and is about $20-$40 a jar, but one will last you one month. Apply the cream to the soft tissue areas of your body twice a day for 21 days. Then, do not use the cream for 7 days. During this time you will have a cycle. It may take a couple of months, but you will most likely get pregnant. The progesterone cream will cause your body to ovulate and you should be able to get pregnant. Since having pcos, you do not ovulate because you do not make enough of the hormone progesterone. This cream will replace that hormone, and you will ovulate.. Good luck, I hope you have a whole house full of babies! If you need any more info, email me or IM me. Check my profile for info. i have pcos also....i have been put on glucophage, and clomid....i am trying to get pregnant also. My doc said weight loss helps also...go to this website it's full of info www.soulcysters.com www.soulcysters.com |
