Pregnancy scare? Should I or Should I not...?

I had unprotected sex several times the day before my period and I still had my period on the expected day but I have been reading that it is possible for a woman to get pregnant during her period.

I am currently not on birth control and decided to start taking the pill the day of my period. However, I'm wondering if this is a good idea if pregnancy can occur?

Everyone womens' body is different and the first time I got pregnant, I used the morning after pill nine hours after unprotected sex and still tested positive, so I'm wondering what my chances are in this new situation and if I should continue taking the pill?

Please read carefully!
This would be my second pregnancy. I did not take anything except a birth control pill on the day of my period. I did not take the emergency contraception this time because my period is regular and I did not want to mess with it.

I believe its a higher chance of becoming pregnant during your period the pill I know nothing about but GL p.s. give GYN a call

It's impossible to get your period if you are pregnant. Spotting and have your period is different. If you took the pill you are fine. It happened to me before and I didn't become pregnant.

depending on how old you are, i would just have the baby!

You can take a pregnancy test to put your mind at rest, but you are right, you can get pregnant up to, and during your period. Do a test and talk to your GP or sexual health clinic, but please, for your own sake (and the sake of any potential child) sort this out and make sure you have been taking your 'pill' long enough for it to be completely effective before you have unprotected sex again. good luck.

you could be pregnant..birth control doesn't work unless you take it for a whole month first.

and ps to the person who said that its impossible to get your period when youre pregnant is wrong. many women have gotten their period the first few months into their pregnancy, in fact spotting is a symptom of pregnancy.
