Pregnancy on a blood test?

I have to get a blood test done soon for my psychiatrist to test the amount of the lithium levels in my body (since im on the medication) but ive been to nervous to go because i dont know if i could be pregnant and if that could show up on the test?

If they are just testing for lithium levels, no they would not find that. It is a completely different test, however, if you are on lithium and could be pregnant, I would definitely want to knwo since this could harm a fetus. But to answer your question, no, unless they are doing a pregnancy test, the drug test will not show that you are pregnant.

if they are testing for the lithium levels in your body they would not see if you were pregnant.
you should probably tell your psychiatrist that you could possibly be pregnant.
you dont know if of how that could effect the test they are doing.

You need to go and do a pregnancy test ASAP and if positive seek medical advice as Lithium can cause abnormalities in the foetus. And then keep the appointment with the psychiatrist as it is important that your Lithium levels be monitored.
