Can an ultrasound detect an ectopic pregnancy? Yes, but you also have to take into account how far along the pregnancy is. When I had an ectopic pregnancy in January, they did an ultrasound when I first had some bleeding at 5.5 weeks and did not see anything. They told me it was just too early to see. A week later I had a follow-up ultrasound and this was when they saw the fetus implanted in my left tube. yes that's how the doctors find out about an ectopic pregnancy. an ultrasound is the only way to know if you have an ectopic pregnancy. yes they should be able to see it in an ultrasound.. thats how they founde mine.. they should be able to see swelling.... yes, my daughter had one and thats how they diagnosed hers... |
