I'm probably needlessly worrying about pregnancy but...? |
My boyfriend and I had sex a few times about a day after my period went away. I'm not on birth control, but we used a condom each time. Since then, I've been feeling really bloated, tired/sleepy, and irritable. I've also been getting headaches every day which are sometimes accompanied with nausea. I'm a generally skinny person and that bulge in my tummy isn't helping with the paranoia (though I keep telling myself if I am pregnant, there's absolutely no way I'd be showing in less than a month). Antibiotics can really stuff your body around. Although they make the infection go away, they can make you feel bloated and just not right. But you could be allergic to some of the drugs in the medication to give you those kind of symptoms. I dont think you are pregnant, if you used a condom, you should be ok. Condoms can break, but generally you should be fine, especially only a day after your period. Antibiotics affect the reliability of the Pill but since you aren't on the pill, it wont affect you. I would just chill for the rest of the week and if your period doesnt come, then go see your doctor. But if it does come and you are still feeling these symptoms, it may also be a good idea to see the doc. if your really worried, take a pregnacy test or visit your doctor. stress can delay, and even cause a period to skip. so try to calm down. if you used the condoms correctly, then there should be minimal risk. but you should get a blood test if it will help calm your nerves. condoms are 85% effective with "normal" use and 97% with "perfect" use. if you've been using protection correctly each time, i would say your chances of being pregnant are slim. dude get checked asap! i dont think those are side effects from antibiotics |
