I'm concerned about future pregnancy?

Hello, I'm not pregnant yet, but me and hubby plan on ttc soon.
I have some thoughts though concerning my future babies health.

1. My mother gave birth to a son who was jaundice and sickly when he was born, but developed liver cancer later on, and died when he was 9.
(the doctor said he might've been sickly tho, because my mother got pregnant so soon after having her first child, that she wasn't fully healed/ready to carry another so soon.)

2. My husband's mother, had a son, who was born retarded, and had a lot of health issues, and died when he was 14. And also had another son who died of SIDS.

Are the chances (as high as I think they are), of my child having cancer, or another type of illness, due to my mother(s) having sick children? I want a baby so badly, but I am so, so VERY scared that it will be sick, and it will tear me up inside. I don't want to go through what my mother(s) went through.

By mother(s) I mean my mom, and my mother in law.

What do you think?

My brother died from liver cancer, like I said.

I think your families just had some very bad luck. SIDS is not known to be genetic and neither are most birth defects like Down Syndrome or it could have been caused by lack of oxygen or environmental factors. Many babies are born jaundiced and it has nothing to do with liver cancer. Talk to a genetic counselor if you are very concerned but I think you have good chances of having a healthy baby.

The things can happened whom only, because usually what is the we eat terntu has not can be channelled carefully through ari-ari baby, so that baby doesn't get enough gizi at the time resides in in content.

btw, where do you live?
if your residence not far from place of me, possibly I can assist.

Not to worry. God will give you what you need. If you are ready to have a child, go ahead. You will love your child no matter what. Just pray that it will be healthy. If not, you will learn how to handle it. This baby needs you to love him in every way. That is a mother's job.

You can actually talk to a genetecist. He/she will help you figure out the probability of your future child ahving all sorts of illnesses.

It doesn't seem like you have the full story on why your mothers child died, maybe you should ask her. If it was a genetic problem you and your fetus can be tested so you know before it is born. Same with your mother-in-law's problems. SIDS isn't genetic it can be prevented most of the time now. You should have a baby, don't be too afraid, but be aware of what could happen, most children turn out fine, but there is a chance that they wont be perfect. I think your family's experience with this has better prepared you to be aware of the risks of having a baby.
