Throughout my first pregnancy I would suffer from aching legs through the night?

This would end up with elevated pillows, heatpacks or baths to try and help ease the pain. I am not pregnant now and am suffering from aching legs of a night time lately, I've been waking up around the same time everynight asking mty husband to massage my legs. Can anyone tell me what may be wrong.. Is my diet lacking salt (as the saying goes) or could this be an early early sign of being pregnant once again? I dont have any other symptoms of pregnancy the first day of my last period was the 13/4/08 we made sure we had intercourse on the days in which I was ovulating.

Hopeful but concerned
Thanks in advance

Hi,
Sorry to hear your suffering with your legs. Leg pain isn't a symptom of pregancy that I am aware of. It could be your potassium level is low. A simple blood test will show if it is. That will cause leg pains. A simple cure is to drink some tonic water, it has quinam in it and may help It could also be restless leg syndrome. I have this and you won't believe what helps! When you are in pain you will try almost anything. I read about this in my newspaper pharmacy column. You simple but a bar of soup under the bottom sheet. Any kind. You may have to replace the bar every few months, but it really works.
I would have your Dr. check your electrolytes( POtassium, sodium, etc) just to be safe. But stick the soap under your sheets, you may be pleasantly surprised. I sure was. I also shared this tip with my mother-in-law aand several friends and it works for them too. I hope it will help you too. Cheap, safe and painless. Can't beat that.

Have you ever had any lower back problems after I had my son I had a couple bulging disc that made my legs ache,Sorry don't really know about anything else to help you out
