Is this pregnancy or the pill?

I have two children -- 5 and 1 -- and just started on birth control last month. I'm supposed to have my period next week, but for the past few days I've been spotting ... kinda heavy at times.

I'm really, really hoping this is my period or some side effect of the pill.

Oh, and I kind of foolishly had unprotected sex about four days before ovulation this month. Oops.

So just tell me that I'm not pregnant. I'm not pregnant, right? Please? Help?

Actually, this might just be a normal reaction of the pill since you just started the pill. Your body is still getting adjusted and it might take a couple months for your period to stabilize. I really doubt your pregnant.
