Excessive urination / Pregnancy???

Ok so just today I have peed probably 15-20 times and about the same yesterday. I have noticed I have had to pee a lot lately and no it doesn't hurt.

But here is the story. I was in my boyfriend's car and dropped my birth control pill on the floor and never found it so this month I have taken the pills a day early, like I would take them on time but I am going to start the period pills a day early. If you know what I mean. But I have been very moody lately. Also me and my boyfriend will have sex and then sometimes after we have sex once we will do it again but not use a condom (I know how stupid it is trust me, I yell at myself afterwards about it too, please don't lecture me) but he pulls out which I also know is not an accurate way of solving pregnancy from happening. But I was just wondering do you think I could be pregnant? If not what do you think is causing my excessive urination? I have not been drinking a lot more water lately either.

Also the only thing I drink is water.

There is a form of diabetes called Diabetes Insipidus and your need to urinate very frequently is the major symptom. I wish you said how much water you drink, even though you stated that it hasn't been a lot more lately. I wouldn't know if that were 8-10 glasses a day or just 3,(like I drink). because great thirst or polydipsia, will produce a lot of urine(polyuria). .
This type of Diabetes is NOT the same as Diabetes Mellitus or "Sugar " Diabetes and the treatments are totally different!
D. Insipidus is divided into 4 subgroups and I'll just touch on the 1st 2. The most common type of DI is caused by a lack of vasopressin, a hormone that normally acts upon the kidney to reduce urine output by increasing the concentration of the urine. This type of DI is usually due to the destruction of the back or "posterior" part of the pituitary gland where vasopressin is normally produced. Hence, it is commonly called pituitary DI. It is also known as central or neurogenic DI. Pituitary DI is permanent and cannot be cured but the signs and symptoms (i.e. constant thirst, drinking and urination) can be largely or completely eliminated by treatment with various drugs including a modified from of vasopressin known as desmopressin or DDAVP.
Now this one may very well interest you...*Occasionally, a lack of vasopressin can also develop during pregnancy if the pituitary is slightly damaged and/or the placenta destroys the hormone too rapidly. This second type of vasopressin deficiency is called gestagenic or gestational DI and is also treatable with DDAVP but, in this case, the deficiency and the DI often disappear 4 to 6 weeks after delivery at which time the DDAVP treatment can usually be stopped. Often, however, the signs and symptoms of DI recur with subsequent pregnancies.
In your situation, I'd first take a pregnancy test and if it's neg. and the polyuria continues...see an endocrinologist!
Good luck....about EVERYTHING!

I know it sounds scary, but it does sound like you are pregnant.
I've never been pregnant. Too young.
& dont think that I can't get any.
LOL, I've been w/ my bf for four years (since the end of 8th grade)

BUT BEFORE I DIGRESS
I've never heard of someone urinating 15-20 times a day UNLESS they are pregnant.

I won't lecture you.
I just hope you think twice next time if you don't want this to happen.

To make sure, buy a pregnancy test. Buy the ones that come with two because when helping some of my friends with this, they always demanded a second test. Those are about $12.

Good luck.
<3 Kristin
