My period stops a month ago.i took pregnancy test and it shows negative, why is my menstrual cycle stops?

Periods can be late if ovulation is delayed for some reason. The reasons are numerous, including stress, illness, or hormonal imbalances. Basically the body decides that trying to get an egg fertilized in a time of stress or illness isn't a good idea and holds off for a while. I've missed multiple months of my period due to stress; it's not abnormal. You will only have a true period once you've ovulated, roughly 11-17 days after ovulation. Think back and see if you can pinpoint any stressful events or illnesses (something worse than just a cold) after your last period. Don't stress about it. If you're eating well and not losing alot of weight, then you're period should resume soon. (Extreme weight loss can also stop periods).

Have you changed sex partners lately? Sometimes women will miss their periods due to that also sometimes women just miss their periods. If you have only missed one then don't worry about it to much. Give it another month and see if you get it. Just to be safe wait about a week and take another test, it will probably be negative but better be safe. There are many reasons why your period might have stopped. If you are underweight or overweight, have been exercising a lot, or are stressed out, that could cause it. Or the pregnancy test might be wrong. Either way, you should probably go see your physician or gynecologist.

if u currently have become more active its normal for u period to get off balance. I never had a normal period in highscool becuase I was always active now that I'm not in sports I'm finnaly get a period every month. if ur worried about being pregnant then go to your family dr. and get a test u should know withing two weeks if u are

if you think you are pregnant your body my act like you are sometimes. Also there are many reason why your menstrual cycle may stop I would wait till next month and if it does not come I would go to the doctors.

sometimes things like stress can postpone it.

take a breather and take a few days off of all the hype..if it doesnt come in a few weeks, I'd make an appointment.

Have you been stressed out lately? Eating less? Eating more? Working out A LOT? A number of things could be the reason, but you should go get it checked by your doctor.

Your probably stressed or you may be underweight and very active. You should talk to your physician.

There could be a number of things going on. Talk to your doctor, they'll probably have to do a blood test.

ypu might have been really exited, stressed out, nervous. yea all those things stop it. theres more but i dont know them.

maybe take 2 more if so they are neg again go to the doctor ppl went to college for this stuff! good luck! :]
