What kind of birth control is there to prevent pregnancy for years??

please tell me the name and do you guys think im too young to go on birth control that is for years im 21 and ive been with my boyfriend for 2 years now we live together and we dont want kids for atleast 3 more years and im soo tired of the pill and gaining weight and stuff!!PLZ HELP!!!

Forget the shot and all that implant stuff, unless you dont mind gaining weight and lots of it. Those things will cause you to pack on weight in no time.

The diaphram, cervical cap, t coil and those stuff is not as effective as the pill indeed and it can also cause infections and even infertility (if you do plan on having kids).

I would say take yasmin - yes the pill but its a low dose so will not cause you to gain weight (unless you overeat often).

The best thing to do however is to speak with a doctor. They really know their stuff and is the best source to help you with what you are looking for.

The pill is definitely the most reliable form of birth control. It is more effective than the diaphragm, condoms and spermicides. You might talk to your doctor about an IUD, which is an intra-uterine device. These are put in by a doctor and can only be removed by a doctor. They are fairly reliable, but not as good as the pill. The only other alternative is the rhythm method, which is basically abstaining from sex or using birth control around the time of ovulation. To permanently keep from having babies is to get your tubes tied, but I don't recommend that if you do plan to have a family someday

well if you're not looking to get pregnant for another 3 years, try this one. it's called implanon. it works up to 3 years and htey basically just implant it right under your skin, typically right under your arm and it's very small so it won't be noticeable that you got an "implant".

if that's too extreme, try the shot, it works for 3 months

heres a website, you can read more on it

IUD. CAN GO UP TO 5-10 YEARS. ITS A LITTLE PLASTIC ANCHOR LIKE THING THAT THEY PUT IN YOU THROUGH YOUR AREA AND IT WORKS GREAT FROM WHAT I KNOW. FROM WHAT I HEAR SOME POSITIONS MAY HURT BUT OTHER THAN THAT YOU CANT FEEL IT.
