It is effective, but was never one of my preferred methods of contraception. Too many women asked for it to be removed after a few weeks or months due to side effects and it is designed to be left in place for 5 years. Yes you can, it is a small rod inserted under the skin that slowly releases hormones to stop pregnancy. Do you mean a contraceptive implant? Yes you can. yes u can yes, it's called Implanon.
