Metformin is a class B drug. It is safe to take during pregnancy. It's often prescribed for your first trimester and can decrease your changes of miscarriage.

Quoted from Drugs.com : "FDA pregnancy category B. This medication is not expected to be harmful to an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment."

No... It will not effect your pregnancy... Meaning, I can assure you that you and your baby will be OK with you on Metformin...

I have attached some literature for you to read...

Try to call your doctor, don't just take something without discussing it with your doctor. god bless.
