Will i still be protected from pregnancy? |
i have started using birth control again recently and have started using the quickstart method. i started a week ago and within this week i got my period. i have continued using the pills everyday....will i be protected from pregnancy without using a second method of birth control (ie: condoms)? my period is almost over and i have taken the first week of pills. your advice is greatly appreciated. You're protected once you've had an active pill each day for at least seven days in a row - even if you are bleeding. The only way you'll be protected from pregnacy 100% is by not having sex. You should ALWAYS use more than 1 method of birth control (condoms with spermacide on them, spermacide that you insert just before sex). Please take care- the pill is not foolproof. wear a freakin condom. If in doubt...use a condom too. |
