Is it possible to get a negative pregnancy test, get your period, and then test positive a week later?

yes! the hormone chemical that is detected by pregnancy tests can take a little time to show up... meaning that you can test negative... getting your period or spotting can still just happen because the egg is already fertilized but the period could have already been started.. then once the chemical shows,, you stop and its positive. go to a doctor for a blood pregnancy test.... they'll be able to be sure and get yo uany help you may need.

I can only answer from my own experience. I went to planned parenthood 4 times and they continued to tell me I wasn't pregnant. On my 5th visit I insisted they do a blood test and when they did, they finally said you're pregnant. It took 4 negative urine tests to get one positive blood test. So I would say yes it is possible. I had some light spotting during that time, but I felt pregnant & had other older children so I knew.

if you are speaking from personal experience, then yes, I suppose it is.

Your period may have been implantation bleeding.

It is possible, everyone is different.

Have I ever heard of it? No...but nothings impossible
