When to take a pregnancy test

I'm hoping someone can clear this up for me. I'm trying to figure it out myself lol and i'm hopeless...I've been on birth control for 11 years. Last month I didn't take my pills b/c due to lots going on (stress, overwork and a friends death) i missed three days. Anyways July 18th I had sex..with protection though there are concerns the condom broke..I took the mornign after pill just over 72 hoiurs later(i know there is less effectivess) I got my period July 28th (spotted a few days) and got it in full July 30th. I know you can still have your period and be pregnant so I was just wondering if someone could tell me the best time to take a home pregnancy test? I've had terrible headaches the past few days...three in a row..i'm exhausted I was worried that stressing over this was causing it, but to tell the truth I hadn't really thought of it) I'd hate to wait until my next period...that's 6 weeks than that I could be pregnant. But trying to figure it out on line..is slightly confusing..thanks for any help.

Sorry there are people telling me 4 weeks after period and six weeks after my period. Is this 4-6 after the period I just had last week? or the one before that?

Chances are you are NOT pregnant. With stress and everything going on in your life, your period may come later, or be heavier or lighter.
I would take a test right after your period is over.
Since you have been on birth control for so long, more than likely it would take a few months to get your body back to normal and even be able to get pregnant.
Good luck, so sorry to hear about your loss =[

I'd say most likely you're not pregnant, but I'm not a doctor, and I don't have any experience with the morning after pill.
Supposedly, there's enough HCG (human chorionic gonadatropin) produced in your system to show up on a home pregnancy test 10 days after conception. HCG levels rise continually, peaking 80-90 days after conception. If I was you, I might wait until the middle of August for a home test.
Good luck.

Take it in a day or two. Good luck with everything. I think it is stress that have you like this. But take it just to be sure.

Four weeks from your last menstrual period.

6 weeks after your last period
