Can vicodin interfere with a pregnancy test "urine"??? giving you a false negative? The answer to your question is no. The pregnancy test looks for a specific hormone and Vicodin will not affect that. And in response to another poster. Vicodin is actually in a safe drug class to administer to pregnant women if they need pain management. When I was pregnant I developed a kidney infection. The pain was actually worse than my labor pains (or at least labor pains before the epidural). My OB prescribed an antibiotic and vicodin for me to take for the pain. Now I wouldn't recommend taking it for an extended period of time. But that is for you and your OB to decide if you have chronic pain issues or something. Hope this info is helpful Should you be taking vicodin if you think you are pregnant? no |
