Would the test be positive if it was an ectopic pregnancy? |
i have officially missed 2 periods, 4 home tests and 2 at the doctor all came back negative. but now im experiencing pain in my abdomin and they wouldnt do an ultrasound at the ER, i have to "wait" for the doctors to call me back. i am convinced it may be an ectopic pregnancy im just not sure if that would be why the tests were negative, im confused grrr!! Most importantly go to the dr and get that ultrasound. Not every pregnancy shows up on the pregnancy test. I was five months pregnant and the dr just gave up doing the pregnancy test because he could hear the baby's heart beat. Understand that pregnancy is not the only reason you stop having periods. If you are having other medical problems that can cause you to stop having periods. Either way, getting the dr to listen to you is very important. Good Luck and don't let the dr poo foo you. it could be positive i would have an ultrasound to be sure. it could be deadly if it is an it ruptures An ectopic would show a positive test as the pregnancy hormones are still in the system no matter where to embryo is. It has to be something else. It could be something as simple as Irritable bowel syndrome (which can be REALLY bad for some) or appendicitis (can't spell it). Let your doctor diagnose it, but pregnancy is ruled out here. Good luck Please insist with you doctor is not normal for you to fell this way !!
