What is best diet for a new mom who wants to lose pregnancy weight?



I need to lose 30 stubborn pounds. My right leg is messed up from the pregnancy, and I dont get to do exercise that requires running/ aerobics.

Of course, I would start off with eating right - 6 small meals per day, balanced, with plenty of water.

Start resistance exercising. This will help your right leg. You can train your right leg so it becomes stronger, plus muscle burns more calories than any other type of tissue in the body, so as you develop more muscle, you will burn more fat.

Don't worry about becoming a "he-woman" by working out. The fact is that fat takes up 5 times the amount of space as muscle, and to become a "he-woman", you would have to embark upon a serious exercise, nutrition, and supplement regimen similar to professional body builders. By working out, you will get that slim, toned look that everyone likes.

Finally, as you build your right leg, you can start doing cardio work on a stationary bike. It may not be for several months, but cardio is a great way to burn fat.

You may want to purchase a book called Body for Life by Bill Phillips - it has good basic information regarding getting fit & eating right that you could use.

just play with your baby, like you can use it (him/her) as a type of weigh and lay on your back and lift (him/her) up many times, or just chasing them around the house once they start crawling, go see a doctor maybe you can get into a physical therapy class to help with your leg.
Well atkins works really fast but maybe it's not the healthiest, just try cutting back a few carbs and such and excercise in different ways that don't require the use of your legs. Don't worry you will I lost 70 lbs on atkins in 4 months
try atkins, you can loose up to 15 pounds in the first 3 weeks.
atkins is a fake diet. Just chase your kid around and cut out high fructose corn syrup (Pop, candy, ect).
Don't eat white sugar, brown sugar, or white flour. Stop drinking milk. Walk 30 min/day. I've had 4 children and have lost weight several different ways. These are some great healthy ones. If you choose to stop drinking milk, make sure you get calcium in from yogurt, cheese, legumes, and lots of dark green veggies.
