My period is late by a whole month! i've taken 4 pregnancy test each a week apart all say negative?Whats wrong


My period has always been abnormal since it started but then i was on birth control for two years, ive been off of it for 5 months now but its been back to irregular ever since but now its worse. i always use protection so pregnancy is really out of the question. Does anyone have any idea whats going on in my body?

I'm going through the same thing right now.I've been off the pill for 3 months and am a month late on my period.I've taken 3 preganancy tests and they come back negative.Do research and ask your doctor about Post-Pill Amenorrhea.It usually takes a while to get your periods back on track,especially if they were abnormal before.I would definitly ask you doctor.Try this link below:

sounds like you may have a hormone imbalance or thyroid problem. It can be other things as well. No one can really say w/o going back to the doctor and running tests to be sure. Hope everything turns out ok.

I think that's abnormal.. but it happens to some of my friend... it would be better if you would consult an OB-Gyne about that....
It is expected since you are irregular. There could be different factors involved. It could be stress related, or sometimes when you are irregular your body skips a cycle. My sister in law is irregular and she didn't got her period for three months. I say there's no need to panic, but a doctor consult won't hurt you. Plus, you will be on the safe side.
i'd go to the doctor for a blood test just to be sure. home tests are not 100% accurate.
Check with your gynecologist ASAP! I used to have an irregular period. If it was on time, I worried, it was so bad.

After a while, it was out of control bleeding. Turns out that it wasn't my period, I was hemorrhaging. I had a uterine tumor (fibroid). I had surgery to remove it.

Of course, every body is different, but it wouldn't hurt to have a sonogram done just to be on the safe side.
