Does anyone know where to get a soap that treat group B strep in pregnancy? (online or not)? |
Or at least know the name of it? You may be referring to Hibiclens (chlorhexadine gluconate). Run a search for "where to buy Hibiclens" and you'll see websites. Or you can buy it at your pharmacy. Source(s): I'm a nurse. I don't believe that there is a soap. They treat it with antibiotics via IV. They did this with me. They did this just before I had my babies. group b strep is a bacteria that everyone has in their intestines. women are more likely to get the infection (it can cause a uti and other infections) because some women wipe from back to front and it brings the bacteria to the vagina after a bowel movement. there is no soap.. they will give you iv antibiotics when you go into labor. worked for an ob/gyn x 5 yrs |
