Has anyone been on a diet to loose weight at an early stage of pregnancy?

if yes what kind of diet and how much did you loose?

Under no circumstances should you attempt to try and lose weight during pregnancy, regardless of stage. The reason is, the energy you are absorbing through your food passes to you first, the baby second. That's why you are encouarged to eat so much, and such a variety of good, healthy food; because you truly are "eating for 2". If you choose to curb this, it is the baby who will be lacking.
Just as a way of encouragement, my wife was pretty overweight when we found out she was pregnant, and the doctor said this was not the time to do anything. She ate and ate and ate and actually didn't really gain any weight, and in fact lost weight after the birth during nursing, again by attempting nothing to lose it. So take heart.
I really dont think any kind of diet is healthy for a pregnant woman .Try to walk a lot .Talk to your doctor for some pointers!!
Its dangerous to diet when pregnent. It can severly affect your baby,s growth.
