If you take a birth control pill the day after intercourse, will that prevent pregnancy?

No. You have to be taking the pill religiously, not just after one event.

You may be thinking about the morning after pill. Thats a different pill.no, you need the morning after pill.
God no! If you have it why don't you take it like you are supposed to?
Not quite sure, you would have to ask your doctor. But, in my opinion, it may do something to the sperm or the egg that may prevent you from becoming pregnant.
Just go to your doctor and see for yourself.
no it depends on what kind it is. it takes from 3 weeks or so to work.. and if you stop taking them a day and get pregnant, the chances to get twins are 10% higher.
There are only something called the regret pill to cause abortion for the 2-3 days after intercourse. you get it from drug store in some countries, at gp in others.
You know what! birth control is just for that so you can't get pregnancy
