What would be the cause of an adult female's breasts growing? (other than pregnancy, which is not the case.)

there can be a lot of reasons for this. sometimes, hormonal changes linked t your menstrual cycle can cause breasts to swell. Cysts may also cause this, but it will usually only be in one breast, or at least one breast will be larger. This can also be a result of weight gain.
Nobody told me, but my weight kept redistributing throughout my 20's. Friends tell me they experienced the same thing.
