I'm wondering what potential risk the chemical ortho chlor will cause a potential pregnancy?

Ortho chlor was spread in our yard in the summer. Does this pose a risk if my wife were to get pregnant?

No, there is no risk. Ortho chlor was spread on your yard, but after time, it dissipated, so if your wife becomes pregnant soon, she will be fine.
