Do any of you ladies know of any exercises a woman can do during pregnancy?

whats up ladies. i just found out yesterday that i'm going to be a daddy for the first time. my fiance and i lead a very active lifestyle and we're both worried that she's going to lose her figure after having the baby, its the inevitable but depending on how active she is during the pregnancy is going to determain how long its going to take to bounce back afterwards. i also think it maybe good for her health as well as the babies if she continues to exercise a little bit as well as incorperating a very healthy diet. SO....any suggestions, any what so ever. thanks guys

Keeping active during pregnancy is one of the best things you can do for yourself and your baby (contrary to other opinions here, it does not cause premature labor). Walking is good, but I find the more pregnant I get, the more difficult it is to walk (back and pubic pain...ugh). My biggest recommendation...swimming! Join a local health club with a pool and go swimming with your fiance. Trust me, it feels amazing to be weightless for the time that you are in the water. I also do light weightlifting (I lifted before I was pregnant) and yoga. Granted, I can't work out as vigorously as I did prior to pregnancy but every little bit helps!

In general, whatever you guys did before pregnancy you can continue to do during pregnancy (2 exceptions - horseback riding and skydiving according to my doctor). you can even continue to bike for as long as is comfortable for your fiance (it hurts my pubic too much).

congrats and have fun (and patience) during this exciting time!
just walking is safest, my friend had her baby 2 mths early cos of the exercise she kept doing, just let her wait till bub is born then she can get in shape, your baby is more important that your body shape
i had 4 kids full term and i never exercised once, i was scared id have them prematurely
id rather get fat than have a prem baby, good luck
I think your best bet is to go for walks, my mom always tell me that walking really helps blood circulation and stuff. Also she could just do some really lightwieghts like those little ones that they have that are like 2 pounds and she could use those on her arms and it wouldnt hurt anything i guess. hope everything turns out ok! =]]
Talk to the doctor.

I knew a runner that ran all the way to the eighth month for all 3 of her kids. I knew a swimmer who swam till eith month with her first. It depends on what you like to do. Bike riding gets difficult because balance becomes more difficult and the risk of a fall increases. Walking, running (if already a runner), swimming, yoga, aerobics, etc are great....usually. Just ask the doctor!
years and years of triathlons...
During my pregnancy I was also concerned about weight gain. I did a lighter than normal yoga routine and went for walks 3 times a week. Try setting up a time in the evening, if scheduling permits, to go for a walk with her. Its great bonding time and will help when she gets ready to deliver. Also try some water aerobics. Just make sure to check with the doctor before doing anything too strenuous.

PS another thing to think about is proper diet. I know that with those crazy cravings it might be hard. Try popsicles instead of ice cream.
