Atkins Diet...Worth it or Not? Need to lose a lot of weight after pregnancy.? Stay away from this diet! you need a balanced diet! The trick to losing weight is simple: Cut out sugars! Drink at least a gallon of water a day, and do cardio....ANY cardio (walking, tennis, jogging, swimming, etc...). If you switch to a sugar-free diet and increase your water intake...you WILL see results within the first two weeks! it is worth it if you are not on a budget No - especially after pregnancy. Your body needs to keep somewhat of the same diet while you were pregnant if you are using breast milk. You can decrease your calorie intake some, but do not cut out carbs all together. I would recommend exercise - like walking and you can push the stroller while you go. if you want to stay healthy keep away from this one. it does in the end hurt yr health. read tips on weight loss and exercise programs to better help you on this site this will help you-free useful tips & articles on almost any topic- http://free-articles.50webs.com... hi, you know what helped me tremendously is the fat smash diet...it's not a fad diet, though it sounds like it...it's from the celebrity fit club guy...in a nutshell, you are vegetarian for 9 days (along his guidlines)except no potatoes or avocado...dropped 10 lbs the first 9 days...eventually you bring meat and things slowly in after detox(first 9 days) they say it's not safe to lose more than 2 lbs a week, but you are excercising 30 mins a day,and you get protein from beans or tofu,so your giving your body what it needs, just avoiding the fat,you still get milk and yogurt and oatmeal, only healthy fats, brown rice...the reason I liked it was because I was never hungry versus other diets...it sucks to give up meat for 9 days but I'd rather do that than be hungry all day... Carbohydrates are our body's main source of fuel and our brain's only source of fuel. If you cut out all carbs, you'll also have trouble in getting all your required nutrients for the day since you won't eat any whole grains, fruits or veggies. Cutting out bad carbs such as sugar from candy and soda is a good idea since they offer no nutrients, just calories. Taking out good carbs can be very detrimental to your health.
