Has anyone out there have ever had the procedure where they tie your uterus so pregnancy is full term? |
I made a comment earlier that if i would have known about my scarred uterus, i could have done something to keep my child, what i meant was that i would have had the procedure to where the sew up your uterus to help you carry full term. I'm not sure of the name of the procedure. It's called a cervical cerclage (sp?). It's basically stitches to close up your cervix so that you can hold a pregnancy to term. It's an office procedure, and is done as soon as it's determined that you are 1) pregnant, and 2) diagnosed with an incompetent cervix. They will take the sutures out at 35 weeks, in most cases. I hope that's the answer that you're looking for. Source(s): 37.5 weeks pregnant w/ # 2 |
