I'm going to be induced tomorrow night because i'm 8 days overdue. My pregnancy has been low risk throughout

does this mean that i will still be considered low risk even though i'm being induced and also does anyone know whether i will still be able to give birth in one of the low risk rooms? Also i will be going in at 8:30 at night, will my husband be allowed to stay with me for awhile or does he have to go straight away. I'm really worried about being on my own.

I'm in the UK, thanks for your comments

Only the unit you are going to can answer this, phone them, they are very used to worried parents to be.
Good Luck
Your husband can stay with you the whole time. You should be able to give birth in the room the only time you won't is if there are complications. They won't leave you on your own. Most women I know who have been induced have given birth quite quickly. My sister was 1 hour after she was induced. Good luck and congratulations
your husband will be able to stay with you throughout on the labour and delivery ward.
I think you should be fine with being low risk.
Good luck and all the best.
Mother of 18 month old
I can't answer your question but good luck, I hope everything goes well and that you and your baby come out of it all happy and healthy.
wot have u been doing4 the past nine months. i live in essex and your husband or birthing partner is allowed to stay throughout. any worries speak to t he nursing staff they are the most fantastic people on the planet.
anyway congrats to your and your partner wishing u a safe and healthy delivery of your baby. good luck
I was induced because I was 10 days late with my son. I went in at 7.30am on the Friday and my son was born at 10.30pm on the Saturday night and my ex partner and his sister stayed with me the whole time. Maternity units are normally really sympathetic and understanding and let the partners stay throughout the labour and the birth. I don't know of anybody that has been sent away.

Everything will be absolutely fine. The midwives, the nurses and the doctors are all there to put your mind at ease, and answer any questions or worries that you may have, especially if this is your first child.

Everything will be fine.

Good luck, and best wishes to you, your husband and the baby xxx
