What causes girls like me(i'm 18) to not get her period other than pregnancy? |
i haven't had my period for about 4 days now. i once had my period after 12 days i was supposed to have it for one month. could it be b/c of lack of exercise, stress, etc? If you have definitely ruled out pregnancy, then some other possibilities could be stress, extreme weight loss/gain, or even obesity. Best option would be to talk to your ob-gyn. He/ She could have some tests run to rule out anything serious. I think you need to see your GYN as there could be a number of reasons for irregular periods Definitely not lack of exercise ;) It could be anorexia/bulimia, too much exercise, stress, etc. Also if you're on the pill. It's common for teenagers like you to have unpredictible cycles. What medications are you on? I know that certain medications, especially birth control, may cause girls to appear not to have a period at all. Also, women often alter their cycles to coincide with another. Maybe a best friend you are always with? If it's not too personal, you could find out if you're both falling on the same 2-3 day area. You may be experiencing this. I'm no expert and a woman could probably answer this better, but I'll try regardless. It could be stress, poor nutrition or many other things. At 18 if your period is that irregular you should go to the gyno they might want to put you on birth control to regulate your periods. Whatever the problem it isnt healthy to be so irregular, see a doctor. well periods dont really come on the exact date.... i sometimes dont get mine until like 2 weeks after my date so u really dont have anything to worry about.... just wait and if it doesnt come after like 2-3 weeks then u could talk to a doctor or nurse.....somethin like that well good luck on findin a answer health class and me :D |
