I've been breastfeeding for 11 months, recently trying to quit. I haven't had any periods in almost 9 - 10 months now. a few weeks ago i stopped my birth-control. a week later i started cramping and a clear discharge. is this a sign of being pregnant? or is that too soon? The cramps feel like i'm going to start my period yet still no period.
i have cramping and clear, sticky discharge during ovulation. it's been like this for many years for me so i know it's nothing else. if you've been on BC all this time and now stopped, it's likely you're just ovulating since BC stops ovulation, hence, preventing pregnancy. looking up your symptoms or calling your Dr. would be a start if you're really concerned If you are really concerned, I would do a pregnancy test and also make an appointment to see your doctor. You can get pregnant at any time while nursing, you ovulate two weeks before your period, and so you may get pregnant without even having a period, after nursing.
