When are pregnant women in the US tested for aids? is it at the beginning of pregnancy, middle or throughout? |
In the US. you won't be tested unless you have a reason to think that you may have it or a chance of having it. You can be tested at any time all you need is a blood test or a swab of saliva from your check. But if you think there is any possible way that you could be. Please check with your Dr. as soon as possible so that you and your baby can be treated properly. mine was all throughout.. I think they did like 3 bloodtests in my 9 months Generally the test is done at the first ob appointment beginning , if you wish to retest you can ask. It is primarily done at the beginning of the pregnancy when your first bloodwork is done. |
