To anyone who knows about weight loss, what can I do to not gain anymore weight during this pregnancy?

I started out already overweight, and now I have gained all of the weight that I need to gain for the ENTIRE pregnancy allready! I'm five months pregnant with twins, and even though I would love to lose a little bit of weight while I'm pregnant, I just mainly want to staty where I am right now and not gain anymore weight. The babies are already measuring larger than average, and I just want to eat just enough to ensure they are getting the nutrients that they need. Please, do anyone have any suggestions?

You're still going to gain weight for the next 4 months regardless. The babies will be growing larger, more fluid is building up, etc. Here are some tips to regulate your metabolism:

-Eat small, frequent meals throughout the day- like 5-6 meals with about 3 hours in-between each meal. If your kids are squishing your stomach, then you probably can't eat that much at a time as it is.

-Try to eat protein at every meal. Protein is a hunger suppresant, and it's also good for your babies' growth.

-If you don't already, switch to some form of low-fat milk unless directed otherwise by your OB. That will cut out some fat.

-Drink lots of water throughout the day. You need to be drinking more water as it is, just because of the pregnancy. If the "blah" taste of water gets on your nerves, try adding Crystal Light, or Sugarfree Kool-aid.

-Along with the water, eat lots of fruits and veges, especially those high in fiber. It will keep you regular and you metabolism up.

-Walk walk walk.... drink water...... walk walk walk walk......

-Whatever you do, don't go on a diet. If you eat sensibly, you'll gain as much as you need for the babes. And if you decide to breastfeed, that weight will come off quick!! That's the only time I could say that I lost 36 pounds in 2 weeks!!
There's not a lot you can do, as most of the weight is from the babies and associated things (placenta, water etc). As far as YOUR weight goes, as long as you eat sensibly and keep active, the stress of carrying the babies around will burn off some weight. I thought I put on heaps while I was pregnant, and after my daughter was born I was 6 kg lighter than before I got pregnant. Best of luck for a happy and healthy pregnancy, and just forget about the weight and enjoy it.
Eat more salads and fruits with regular meals.Dieting is a no no at this stage.Rest adequate. You could go in for walks.
the only way I know is to start exercising more, a little more each day, in a couple of weeks you will see changes
been there ... done that
