I NEED TO KNOW? What is the procedure and cost for freezing sperm and keeping it for future pregnancy?

My mate has a severe medical illness and they are starting drugs that can make him unable to have children in the future they are chemo therepy drugs and the side effects are adverse and we still want to have children in the future.

I am a cancer nurse and we often talk about sperm banking with our clients. Costs depends on your location.

The sperm is stored in small vials or straws of holding between 0.4-1.0 ml and frozen in liquid nitrogen tanks. There is no shelf life on sperm and there have been cases with birth of healthy babies with sperm stored for more than 20 years. Source(s): I am a RN
