Does anyone know if it's safe to use Thermacare warming pads on the small of my back during pregnancy? |
I have horrible back pain with this baby, and have resorted to using thermacare pad on the small of my back. It is safer than using a heating pad and there was no warning on anything about pregnancy in the package instructions. Thanks! According to the manufacturer, you should consult with your doctor if you are pregnant and experiencing pain and intend to use any pain relief products, including ThermaCare. Your doctor will be able to advise you on your specific circumstance, and determine whether ThermaCare is right for you at this time. Source(s): I am a nurse for over 21 years yes if its safe It should be fine as long as it doesn't raise your body temperature. that's probably a question for your OB if there's no warning I would say it's ok. You should ask a doctor or a pharmacist. If you call any of your local drugstores, the pharmacist will be happy to answer that question. ;) Good luck to you! |
