Is it normal for pain during intimacy after pregnancy? |
I had my oldest son 4 years ago and my youngest son almost 2 years ago. I've found that I've had mild to moderate pain during intimacy since then. Is this normal? Do other mothers experience the same? Also, do you have any birth control like an IUD? I am not sure if it's childbirth or the Mirena I have but I have been feeling pressure pain. PS: Keep your answers PG please--I would aim for G rated answers but considering everything at least talk in adult jargon out of respect for the children possibly on here. I would like to help so first of all let me say that its not normal (if normal is the right word) to have pains from intercourse at all and being 2 years after your last birth is way too long to suffer any lasting consequences. Have you seen your gynecologist lately? You should if you haven't and consult with him or her why you have these pains. Is it lack of lubrication or something else. It is of utmost importance to rule out any problems you might have in your uterus that causes these pains. You can read a bit about this subject here: http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/sex_relations... http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/... http://www.med.umich.edu/1libr/wha/wha_p... Now lets go to your second question. Do you use and IUD and is it Mirena? You might want to read this: http://curezone.com/forums/f.asp?f=713... http://www.fwhc.org/birth-control/iudinf... http://www.engenderhealth.org/wh/fp/ciud... I hope your problem will solve soon, you are a young woman and should not suffer. |
