Early period on the pill & pregnancy test?

My period came a week early on the pill with a normal flow. I was on antibiotics the first week of my cycle but used back-up all month and even took Plan B after sex with a condom (I was afraid I got pre-*** on the condom).

I am on placebos now and am getting some odd nausea. My period usually starts today. I took a First Response test yesterday and it was negative. I did have two cups of tea about 3 hours before I took it, but hopefully that didn't dilute the results because I peed a lot in between.

What do you think? Am I getting nauseous because I'm worrying myself sick or maybe because my second period is coming?

Should I worry about pregnancy??

From what you've said, you shouldn't be pregnant. I myself have often found I'm nauseated and then suddenly wonder where the hell my period is! Often it takes me 5 days of placebo pills before my period starts. This knowledge doesn't stop my worrying though and every time it turns out to be my imagination! My fiance laughs at me everytime I worry about it.

Make sure you do another pregnancy test as you should do two just to confirm your results and minimise any errors. It is possible you may have diluted the hormones and your should do the test first thing in the morning when your hormone levels will be at their highest. Over the counter pregancy kits now can test up to about 21 days after conception so if you can think back to when you last were at risk, you should be able to identify how this fits in and whether it is even a remote possibility.

You are probably quite stressed and yes this can cause nausea. If you are still concerned, visit your doctor (if nothing else, it will set your mind at ease). They'll probably make you have another urine test and can also get you a blood test which is more accurate. Still, don't stress! It is possible, but pretty unlikely that you are pregnant given what you've said above.
