Why is my period late and a pregnancy test negative? |
I was supposed to start my period on July 1 and it is now 7 days late. I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it is negative. I have been having cramps but just no period. I have heard stress can cause late periods and I have been under a great deal of stress with my relationship and financial situations. Is there anything I can do besides wait it out? Has anyone else had this situation? What happened? honey, you are perfectly fine. Stress does play a major factor in delaying your period. I wouldn't worry about it. I would exercise to destress your worries, this will help balance your hormones and also your menstrual period. Some women have cycles that come in 36 days rather than the 28 days. It's okay if it skips a month. As a doctor , when I did my residency my period wouldn't come 2-3 months later. I wouldn't worry about it.
