How much does depot medroxy progesterone acetate cost?

how much does depot medroxy progesterone acetate cost for one shot.

Depo-provera or DMPA is the contraceptive injection that lasts for 12 weeks at a time. Women can have various side-effects to this medication, including irregular periods or no period at all.
The answer to your question depends on where you live and where you go for your care. DMPA is now generic (Yea!!!) which decreases the cost, unless your provider puts the dreaded "DAW" (dispense as written) on your script which means that you'll pay extra for the brand name. Then, your provider may charge you for the office visit to give you the shot. The best place to check out costs besides your private health care provider is Planned Parenthood- they're usually the cheapest.

Good Luck!

Please DO NOT get this shot. IT has far more risks than it does benefits.

Please read the below:

and google "depo provera lawsuit" as there are several class action lawsuits against the makers of this drug.

I highly do NOT recommend this drug and wish they'd pull it from the market.
