Low Progesterone and only 3 wks pregnant?

Well my hcg went from a 45 to 108 in 3 days. I had an ultrsound done last week but It was to early they couldn't see anything. Anyways I I found out my progesterone is low. I didn't ask how low tho. They are sending me for an ultrsound because they arent sure if the pregnancy is an ectopic. I go tomorrow but I'm worried. I would think they would be able to have seen it last week right? I dont have nausea, or sever pain, I have cramps but I heard thats normal, I dont have bleeding. Can anybody give me details please

who ever found out they had low progesterone did they first do an ultrasound?

I had low progesterone with my sons pregnancy and they supplemented me with prometrium and I was able to carry to term. With this baby they put me on it right away just to be safe.

Once they determine what is going on they will likely supplement you if the pregnancy is in utero. The cramping is likely your uterus stretching and the typical round ligaments pulling. The fact that you are not in great pain is a very good sign that your pregnancy is going to be ok. Also the hcg levels going up is excellent.

I think your chances are very good - just keep the faith until tomorrow and then you'll know for sure.

**yes I did have an ultrasound but I was further along than you when the problem was spotted. I actually started bleeding and had a threatened miscarriage and they caught it **

If its not ectopic they will most likely put you on progesterone supplement til your 12th week...you need this in order to maintain a viable pregnancy

Well, at 3 weeks, there really isnt anything to see. Why did you have an ultrasound so soon anyway? I know your hcg level are supposed to double and triple every day, but i dont know what going on with your situation. You'll jsut have to wait and see tomorrow. Good luck.
