Do progesterone creams really raise levels? |
Has anyone had problems conceiving or carrying a pregnancy to term and then tried progesterone creams and had a successful pregnancy? I'm curious if they really work in raising progesterone levels. Progesterone creams really do raise levels in your bloodstream. However, for most women, it is not nearly enough to conceive, but MAY be enough if carrying the pregnancy to term has been a problem. I personally know one woman who gives all credit to her use of progesterone creme to get pregnant after having to have Clomid the first time around (she has PCOS). On the other hand, there are a fair number of women who had prior infertility problems for the first pregnancy and no problem getting pregnant after that. So, who knows. i used those creams and i'm not sure if they really work. many women swear by them, so not sure if they work or if it's the placebo effect. my naturopath has me taking sublingual progesterone starting on CD7 until menses. if you're considering the cream, you might consider seeing a licensed naturopath to discuss whether it will benefit you. Why don't you consult your doctor? |
